I'm not so keen on new boards as new sails, as my wind energy wave board does my fine.

but as for sails i want something new and different!

what does the forum recommend for new brand sails, around and available in SA.

thanks for all above comments also.

will look into OES. (even tho I'm good)

cheers

Ripn,

I just recently back to WA from the NT. Have been out of the water for a little while. I've since demoed a few wave sails and decided and ordered a mixed set of Goya Eclipse and Guru's for the upcoming summer over here..
I've found these to be the best sails I have sailed so far that suit me. Easy to sail, really stable and neutral in the hands.
I'm just your your average wavesailor..
Cheers

man there's so many sails out there, I'm so confused it seems that they all do the same thing but with different colors.

thanks.

Pete at Onboard should be able to get them for you if not give Alberto a call at Windshack here in Perth. Worth giving him a call as he'll give you the best advice on last and new season gear available..
Cheers

hi Hail thanks for the offer.

is it true the zones are a little bit light on the power.

(as i read on the neil pryde website)

has anyone used the combat, they used to be around when i sailed.
they look to be powerful and good all-round???

any one got any???

zones are good high wind sails or for lighter guys like me. if you were bigger or looking for a really powerful sail these are not the best and combats would be better. i know someone who rides them and he loves them. but if your like me i think zones are the best sail! feel so nice on a wave!

G'day

I use some of the new Combat sails and they work great, strong and a bit gruntier than the zones.
The Zones are a great sail and work extremly well on the wave face, but at 85kg I don't mind the bit extra power in my sail.
About the board I'd upgrade on that too, a board of around 2 - 5 years old aren't that expensive when you are looking at the whole scheme of it. The benfits though are huge, the newer boards jump and pop so much easier.

There is a massive difference in the new boards compared to the old ones. Anything less than 5 years is in a different league. If u can afford it you will not regret it.
