Drove down there on Sat to catch the cross-off northerly. Unbelievable. Surf did not seem as solid as predicted. Unbelievable. Went to Robe to see if better. Unbelievable. Robe was worse. Unbelievable. Went back to Granites but it had dropped out. Unbelievable. Drove back to Goolwa beach as the readings were solid there. Was no good. Unbelievable. Drove home. Unbelievable...
You should have stayed home and sailed Triggs and U-turns. Guess you never know though if you never go..
Drove around corner at 9am a half a dozen crew getting some good ones at triggs
Sailed for an hour Wind backed off
Had coffee and biscuits
Wind came back in
Head high sets and 20+knts U-s and triggs
Sailed till 2 a bit Worn out
Heaps of crew on the water
Used $2 gas
The grass was greener in our own backyard
Sorry to say welcome back to SA, saw the most unbelieveable break on sunday ( new to the search) have to launch off the rocks need a jetski for just in case BUT, 3/4 to mast from 1km out and never broke the whole time i watched it, just feathered for 500 -700m with cross off winds, INSANE!
could not be arsed getting out of bed which is very unusual for me! night shift definatly has taken its toll on me! back to normality now tho. the sun shine today was bloody good! should have gone down as i am regreting it now!
