Just a heads up - big brother was watching crew and threatened a sailor with fines if he went back in the water without a PFD last weekend. After a 60 minute round trip he managed to get back on the water for a sail with a PFD on.

What is a PFD? Isn't that you have to carry in a boat? I have never worn anything but a harness in the last 25 years of windsurfing and haven't drowned yet. The regulatory authorities should go get a life!!

Thanks for the heads up though.

That rule has been around longer than 25 yrs. Just surprising that sailors are not pinged mor often.

I ride a WINDSURFER not a Sailboard.
WINDSURFERS are not covered under the regulations
