OK, Wind is looking a bit fluffy, so States has been called off for another week. We are keen to lock a date in for September, just waiting on some advice from the committee,

So, we will have a social comp on Sunday morning, as there could be a chance of a floaty sail and a few small waves
9.30am kick off

Well that was an unexpected session, only small waves in the 1-2 foot range, but how was that wind? Some tired sailors tonight I am sure!!!

Thanks to everyone who came along.

Yep great morn...sorry I had to go early, had to get grumpy back to town so he could head home.

Does challenging wind mean a lot of wind? Bondy texted me saying it was 30 - 35 knots down there. I injured my back putting the dishwasher door up on Thursday so I could not sail. Sounds like the mid would have been the best???

i think the best spot was wherever you were sailing at the time - but day st was good fun between sail changes - some classic stacks goin down!!!!

It blew its guts out for at least 1.5hours Geoff. Waves were small but clean for how windy it was. Yes, you missed it

From where I was sitting it looking like ragg dolls getting thrown around.

There would of been some whip lash soreness this morning from a few of those sudden stops.

I think the high light of the day was Phoebe showing you guys how to ride a wave.

some of the hardest conditions i have had down there. And with Zero sailing fitness at the moment it certainly wasnt easy. think the three surfs in the week didnt help the arms. Was good to catch up with everyone and struggle in 0-40 knots. haha

I didnt think it was 0-40knots Chris. I actually thought that when it blew, it blew consistently but just bloody strong. Learnt my lesson once again to not leave small sails home. Then again who would have thought i was going to need a 4.2
Definitely a lot to be learned from Josh with the light wind session at the end. Might be time for a real floaty board.
