Was going to give it a miss as the forecast was so bad, But at around 3pm the seabreeze came in at about 15knots enough to get plaining. I guess most people gave it a miss because the forecast was not good.

hey legless, if you're down the lake and breeze kicks in, you can 'tweet' to @boggylake on twitter. messages are live on boggylake.org

Seabreeze was great yesterday, sailed from 3.30 to 7.30 almost nonstop. Was strong enough to use my 105 litre board so was at least 15 knots.

Looks like boggy was the only place that was sailaible after looking at the graphs, even hindmarsh island looked flat on the graphs.

I've been looking into that...

Wind meter: I've spoken with someone in the vicinity of the lake who may be able to provide power/internet. Will follow it up. The main cost would be in the purchase of the wind meter itself ($500+ for a reliable unit).

Webcam: Would probably require remote power (solar?) and 3G to get close enough to the lake. Streaming video may not be viable with 3G connection; snapshots ok.

If you can help let me know

I think most people would rather do something else than go sail boggy lake. But if you live down that way then I guess you just have to deal with the spot you've been given.

I think you will find it is a very popular spot that just happens to get good seabreezes and people drive over an hour to get there from Adelaide.

i guess some just visit when there's no wind anywhere else, others actually like it (each to their own). Either way, it still seems to pull a decent crowd

You sound like you have some inner anger and frustration, is there something wrong?
