Hi all interested parties.

We were planning on a catch up for the 16th to discuss Robe Aussie Day weekend, anything to learn from the family day and any other things people want to discuss (including the venue for meetings) - and have a xmas ale or two.

Will email out info to the SASWS mail list later in the week (those of you who are on it) Meet up stairs in the area where we were or try and snag a big table on the balcony.

P.s Foods nice but can be a bit pricey so if your a bit short after buying your new xmas sailing gear it may pay to eat first

Mean time hope you get some wave/B&J action on Friday / Saturday - looks like there will be wind everywhere from Victor harbor reefs to North Haven. There has been plenty of SE wind last few days but not a wave in site down the mid coast way.

Hope to see you there

Russell

Hi Tony - Seacliff was originally chosen as it's sort of central and for most 20 odd minutes away from south and north.

Deep Blue Moana would be good especially now they've sprused up the esplanande - might be a bit hard for those up north though - maybe we could rotate the gatherings north, then south and central.

A sail at Seacliff is always a possibility before a meeting

Hi all - 10 crew turned up at the Seacliff last night for a casual drink and a bit of a chin wag. (The Wade's junior member was very quiet again and didn't drink much)

Made a few plans -Robe is a goer on Australia day weekend - expression session with a pub meal on Sunday night - very social but hopefully some decent waves and wind - several people have already committed to heading down on Thursday or Friday and some staying through till tuesday - I know some won't be keen unless the forecast is right the week before - but we are planning for it anyway so wind or not we will be there (bring your surfing gear just in case).

Tony said there were some powered sites left at the Long Beach van park earlier last week or so - I will ring and get an idea and post something later in the week.
(Email the sasws2008@hotmail.com if your keen on heading to Robe - wouldn't mind getting an idea of how many were thinking about it)

Other plan was for a windsurfing gear swap meet - Esplanade park at Seacliff or somerton and see if we all have some gear someone else might be looking for - more on this soon.

Discussed the meeting venue (Seacliff)- at $6.90 for a Coopers mild ale we need to find somewhere we can afford to have a drink! (looking at one of the SLSC at Somerton or Brighton)

Will do a post about Robe and swap meet soon.

Cheers to The Wades, Chris Hail and "Planing Gemma", Susie, Dean, Andy and Tony - thanks to those who emailed that they couldn't make it.

Special mention to to Divaldo for texting us all while still at "lunch at 730pm" - Hiccup! How are ya this morning sunshine

Fingers crossed for a sail 2 moro

Will catch up again at Robe and plan next meeting
Will email everyone all the details in the next few days

Cheers

Not a lot to tell Bubs, went for lunch at 1pm with one of my advertising agencies, had a nice meal at the 'Fizz on the Beach' cafe at holdfast shores, had a few beers, had a few wines, had a few vodkas.........got home at 11pm, very slow day today, but one very happy client....ah the things I have to do for my job.
