Hi Guys,

Making the trip across from Vic for wedding at end of month, got some restrictions on what I can bring (and ToW)
Will prob have a chance to get out in mornings so thinking bringing a SUP and sail may be the best option. Q: am i mad to leave full sailing kit at home, if breeze is up a little is there a nice beginners sup sailing spot, if i bring sup and its honking is there any flatwater really close to Robe as my 09 fly gets on plane easily.

Thanks & cant wait to visit - ginno

Bring everything!
Robe / Beachport has great opportunities for all of the above
Flat water sailing in lake George or off the beach at either Robe or Beachport,
Waves at surfers beach at Beachport or further up the beach towards Southend - see here

Robe has some good wave sailing at Third Ramp, about 3 kms down the beach from the main town area, or at first ramp,

SUP waves everywhere if you go exploring,

we might join you, its time for another SE excursion,

If you sail at the south end of Long Beach where the boat ramp is you can usually avoid the swell. Also lighter winds if that is what you are looking for. If you want even softer you can sail directly in front of the town where the lawn bowls is and park. Just avoid it at high tide.
