For anyone not following the Red Bull action in Tassie:

In 2006 Johnny Pott arrived in Marrawah, loved it so much decided to live there. Wasn't long before he discovered Back of Lighthouse (BOL) which was a world class reef on our doorstop that we never even knew was there.

Eight years later his passion and love for BOL all came together and he pulled off one of the most epic wave events the world has ever seen.

Well that's all that needs to be said.........let the Red Bull website http://www.redbullstormchase.com/mission-2#top and the pics say the rest.

In my mind - that was my weekend. Unfortunately my mind was not aligned with the footage I have seen. I suppose dilusion can be a good thing!

Yes - redbull storm chase inspired me to go for a sail Sunday that resulted in a massive catapult, a destroyed boom, a torn calf and a long paddle/swim then a 4wd mission and a long hike (or limp) to recover the remains of my rig! Probably should have watched Better Homes & Gardens rather than followed storm chase!
