Marty, looks like a 3.5 to 4.5 swell over the weekend with wind in the south west on sat and south on sunday, waves should be good but the wind will be on the light side and not quite the best direction, we haven't been getting proper south east seabreazes just wind from the south west all the time, had 2 days in the waves on a 5mtr last weekend at beachport, will be sailing friday as are off but on arvo shift all weekend.( keep having forcasts of 10 to 20 kots which just means they have no idea.)

If you have a SUP it would be worth the drive.
Windsurfing, forget it. Put the petrol money towards new gear.

Hey Jimbob, about time you came across and tried out some real waves

Cheers all,

after Geraldton in December I'm hanging for some decent waves again. Spose we'll have to wait until later.

Where were you last week Marti - Had good some waves every day in the afternoon - a couple of days were a tad onshore but still fun and some half decent sized sets

west coast cranked last weekend. Sunday half mast + cross off 15-20kts at walkers. great banks/sections. This weekend looks similar/better.

qantas start flying to lincoln in february, fares from $48, 74 seat q400/dash8 plane = boards ok. plenty 4wds to rent or grab a lift with locals (some live next to airport), everyone shares cars/trailers out to walkers.

Susie's coming over this wkd (its tunarama). let me know if you are interested, will help if i can. West coast is awesome- there are HEAPS of undiscovered world class spots, also intermediate/beginnner. Sceales, Mullalong, coffin bay peninsula, Yanerbie bombie= jaws size (x shore in SE or NW; check fantastic noodles footage), all havent been sailed in years or at all.

food for thought anyway

Hey Russ

looks like you've done ok- sellicks shots looked real nice!!

bit like all SA autumn can= not much wind, however west coast would be windier than anywhere- just take the approach no wind = good fishing/camping.

seabreezes definately good thru late feb, start slowing mid late march. i think it was Sonny used to say february is cactus month. due lack of SElies this summer, i am hopeful we have the best sailing still to come.

do a run up the west coast on GOOGLE EARTH (have a look at walkers rocks) and you'll see what i mean re; potential.

cheers mate

Geoff,
Robe is looking good for Tueday and the rest of the week for solid SE breezes. on arvo till thursday and then off fri, sat. geez I hate arvo shift in summer seabeeze comes in the same time I start work. will try for a quick sail lunchtime around at drums from southend works the same as 3rd ramp exept the waves are all close out dumpers.

IAn - clowning around - no question of the endeavour or ability

Turning is on my to do list

Old - just keeps happening

We get wind - we live in a gulf the waves are crappy - can't change it and we all can't move to Gero

Keep the vids coming happy to watch em
