Good work Karina not sure i even noticed but I think it's a reference to the 2012 demo gear?

The gear you buy the year before its year release and is obsolete in the year it's dated -

can't quite get my head around the annual windsurf gear tweaks - but it's fun to see all the bright new colours

Hi all, i just joined this site. I haven't windsurfed in a very long time but i would really love to get back into it. Will there be equipment their for beginners? If so, do i need to get wet suit gear before the event or will it be available on the day? Thanks in advance for any replies and help

I reckon there will be some beginners gear there, as far as wetsuits go, you might be OK without one, but if you feel the cold, maybe a good idea to get one before.

PS: The caravan site is filling up, I rang to try for a cabin or an onsite van, all taken, only powered sites available, looks like we are tenting it!

Almost all "extreme" sports are the same!! I just brought a 2012 mountain bike. It's only October 2011. Wonder why they do it!!! Marketing??? Sales??

its because most of the southern hemisphere is tiny (compared to the population that participates in said sports in the north)

we are lucky enough to get hold of the gear before they do.
often why some things arn't available, until march = early release up north.

consider ourselves lucky, because if you want to sell gear Overseas, you can thrash it for a season and its still new in the Northern hemisphere.

snow industry is exactly the same

Boggy has had a few Carp attacks recently so Milang is a better option for the demo day because of its deeper water. The facilities and accomodation are another bonus.

haha sorry was sailing today at the demo day, the carp are huge omg, i wasnt going fast enough to hit them at good speed, others did that day, anyway unless your going real fast dont worry about them, you will be fine , have a good day and dont worry about them ! great gear to try out especially sails , if its strong enough it will be a great day for trying out new gear . good luck

Thanks Onboard for the demo gear saturday, those big boards and sails were a bit of fun in the light conditions - my apologies for the fin snappage and also to the carp that got in the way!!
