To start with, this is a windsurfing forum so you would get better results from posting in the kitesurfing forum.

Second, my advice would be to steer clear of anything pre-2008 as a general rule of thumb. Cabrinha is a good brand but different kites suit different purposes so be careful what you choose as it may be a full on freestyle kite that will twitch and pull like a train.

If you can, get the newest kite that you can afford and talk to the guys in the business (onboard, red baron, windsup etc.) and they will be able to steer you towards a kite that will suit your ability, budget and type of riding you will do.

Please go and get lessons too as these are vital to teaching you how to kite safely so that people on the beach are not injured and we can continue to enjoy our sport on the metro beaches.

Good luck mate and hopefully you get the right advice and ultimately the right kite for you!

As already stated, your on the wrong forum for kite advise. Begin kiting for 11 years and know a far bit about '06 cab.
Pm me for any info on kites. bottom line stay away from '06 Cab's, there's better out there..

you'd struggle to fly a "sponge bob square pants" triangle kite old mate.

you don't have a choice but to keep windsurfing..

yeah, it'd probably drag me down the beach. so, wouldn't that make me a perfect kiter?
