I've never seen a NW seabreeze before.
Friday
Wind: NE 8/13 knots, freshening to 13/18 knots late evening. A NW afternoon sea breeze 3/8 knots.
Sea: 0.5 m rising to 1 m offshore late evening.
often goes nw first then swings sw during summer seabreezes down this way
fingers crossed for a strong nnw breeze tomorrow morning - i'm on for an early one - midcoast dawny if it's windy before it drops out - swell net says there may be a few waves
I was thinking the same thing Russ, building swell is the forecast so a morning season will be the go. My fingers are crossed.
not much swell here tonight but with high water around 5am and low around 10.30am -.7metre seaford/3poles might be ok.similar forecast when it worked a few weeks/months back.5-6 down south maybe dodging whales at bashams?
Did the 0800 sail till 1030 - 4.7 and freewave - good wind - small waves only and pretty inco and tide lowish
Good to get a sail in around the corner from home though.
A dozen or so got on it when i left at 1130 - waves were getting a little more consistant with ibncoming tide but not much bigger
Hey Russ,
Where did you sail this morning?
I called into the mid just before 8:00 on my way to work and it looked really light?
I'll have to catch up some time re the wavesailing assoc.
Hi Tony =
U turns / Triggs - went out with a 5.4 and after about 15 mins got blown off the water.
Changed to 4.7 and it was sweet till half ten - pity about the size of the waves - was NE to start but went more Nthly - some pretty big gusts Noarlunga recorded 20-30knts most of the morning
Wavesailing club/association - mmm I have a basket with "too hard" on it and I am wondering if thats where it will end up
Where to sail today thats the question - Victor way looks good on web cam but swr expected soon - maybe seacliff wnw at the moment - maybe at low tide if more wsw.
north or south thats the question
