I lost my old cleat type easy rig in the cold the other day and On-Board only has the loop type. Does anyone know where I can get a metal version of the old school ones? I have it in my harness pocket so I can adjust downhaul on the beach. The loop type ones are a bit big for that....
Geoff, just pull your Chinook uni joint out, wrap the rope around it and there you go...easy rig to use on the beach in emergencies..
On Sunday morning my hands were blue from the cold when I went to change things at 7:45am in a few degrees. I couldn't feel my fingers. Who is the wuss, Russ??
Anyone keen for a dawn assault tomorrow at Semaphore - Geoff better bring his woolen mittens to keep the fingers in the pink....
I'm organised for a dawn assult at Semaphore in the morning if it is windy. Assuming the obs look good at 6:15am, I plan to hook up the trailer and be there by 7am. Latest I can start sailing is 7:45am, after this I would have to bail...
Geoff, you really do need some medical attention both for your numb hands and your need to hit semaphore at such a ridiculous hour. Summers not far away!!!
Maybe Russ and his big strong hands can come down to pull on your downhaul for you......![]()
