Will be in Robe for week beginning 26 Jan 2013.
I hear that Lake George (? The Spit) would be a good place for my 18 yo son to practice short-board windsurfing. RAA map indicates access via Beachport.
Any tips from local sailors would be appreciated. Jonathon Perks.

Heading into beachport turn right at the pub and keep going til you hit a white metal/ gravel road, stay on it till you come to a gate across road.
Go through gate and shut it behind you.
Go easy as the first 100m up and down is a rocky bit, then you veer to the right and stay on the track with the lake on your right, then follow your nose and turn down to the spit.
