No I am not going anywhere that remote

I am thinkin somewhere where I can have a fire, get stonkered on too many palies and turkeys, sleep under the stars, get a surf / sup in the morn and a sail in the arvo without a thousand latte sippin interstaters blocking the main street in their Range rovers

I'm in, if Vikki's not working she'll be in too I'm sure.

I can't wait to get some waves again, no real decent ones since Gero in December, bummer

it takes me 4 hours to go home and see my folks in nairne from mt g. surely it cant take u more than another half hour from town. i find going coastal breaks the drive up as the towns are spaced out better and theres spots along the way to check/sail. no crowds to speak of down pt mac and good wind/reefbreaks. just wish it was a typical season with 2-3 saiable days per week. i want the sea breezes back!

Pt Mac or possibly west coast are my options at this point - waiting on the forecast the week before - will be keen to catch up and hook into some of the SE breaks if we head down there - be especially nice to get some decent waves before the wind kicks in - I have surfed some of the Pt Mac waves a few times ( and got told to F*** off by some old fart surfin Fishos in there boat that came in close near Finger poo point and new lefts - somewhere between 1980 and 1984 when we used to go down there a bit) but never sailed there.

The west coast is one place I have never had any problems - and is certainly a favourite (as far as surfing goes) and was a very regular visitor pre children

There are some great wsurfn spots that I would like to visit - but time is the problem

Are you joking Russ. Is there going to be wind?

maybe maybe not. low pressure pushing a high with nnw -w gradient and local factors at middleton - we might be lucky.

Swell will be really small though - I think the SUP with a 5.6m might get a outing

was good fun but the waves could have been a bit bigger. Good to see everyone one out there giving it there all - need a water station floating out the back - the heat and wind was sooo drying yesterday - had to come in for a drink a couple of times - maybe it was friday nights beers!

Roll on winter

nice to actually get a wave. even if it was waist high. that place is one of the most physical places to sail. like 0-25 knots all in 10 metres. crazy.

I took the SUP out yesterday for the first time with a sail on it, worked a treat, caught a few nice little waist high waves, its a bit scarey when its gets planing though.....

When the wind picked up I swapped rides for my 92 FSW, caught my first ever 'real' wave and managed three bottom turns and what I thought was a nice off the lip, I am hooked!

Bloody good turn out yesterday, always a great time sailing with 15 or so other sailors!
