Maybe for the March long weekend - I am goin somewhere with waves, hopefully wind and preferably remote and deciding where the thursday before - east west south - if anyone's keen PM - gonna be mobile as possible to move dependant on conditions.
Welcome back to flat Adelaide. Hopefully we might get some swell and a ESE soon for another Robe trip.
im keen. its only 3 days so not driving anywere more then 6 or so hours. robe is just too tempting if its blowing.
I'm in, if Vikki's not working she'll be in too I'm sure.
I can't wait to get some waves again, no real decent ones since Gero in December, bummer
Marty
it takes me 4 hours to go home and see my folks in nairne from mt g. surely it cant take u more than another half hour from town. i find going coastal breaks the drive up as the towns are spaced out better and theres spots along the way to check/sail. no crowds to speak of down pt mac and good wind/reefbreaks. just wish it was a typical season with 2-3 saiable days per week. i want the sea breezes back!
never realy found any hostilities myself just tell em to fluck off. mostly adelaide ex pats down at nene tea bagn and poling. heard of poleys bieng shot at and cross bowed up west dont muck with those psycos![]()
The west coast is one place I have never had any problems - and is certainly a favourite (as far as surfing goes) and was a very regular visitor pre children
There are some great wsurfn spots that I would like to visit - but time is the problem
I must apologise to everyone its my fault. Last week i bought a 92lt freestyle wave board for those windy days. I knew it would happen. Sorry.
I brought a new fin 2 weeks ago for my small board and I'm busting to test it out.
Just busting I tell you....

im over this stupid weather. when will a southerly front come threw with some chest high waves? or a cranking seacliff seabreeze! please!!!!!!!!!!!
Was 25knts (maybe more) weds & thurs evening only 2 sailing last night and I saw a wave actually break at sellicks - yes there was white water.
Unfortunately it was while I was adjusting my outhaul so missed it.
Fingers crossed for Saturday lunch time at Day street
maybe maybe not. low pressure pushing a high with nnw -w gradient and local factors at middleton - we might be lucky.
Swell will be really small though - I think the SUP with a 5.6m might get a outing
looks like we were lucky
was good fun but the waves could have been a bit bigger. Good to see everyone one out there giving it there all - need a water station floating out the back - the heat and wind was sooo drying yesterday - had to come in for a drink a couple of times - maybe it was friday nights beers!
Roll on winter
nice to actually get a wave. even if it was waist high. that place is one of the most physical places to sail. like 0-25 knots all in 10 metres. crazy.
I took the SUP out yesterday for the first time with a sail on it, worked a treat, caught a few nice little waist high waves, its a bit scarey when its gets planing though.....
When the wind picked up I swapped rides for my 92 FSW, caught my first ever 'real' wave and managed three bottom turns and what I thought was a nice off the lip, I am hooked!
Bloody good turn out yesterday, always a great time sailing with 15 or so other sailors!
went down seacliff expecting the wind to be 15 18 knots
but turned up to be 10 knots only hoping to get out
