Is anybody interested in creating a speed team on GPS Team Challenge web site for seasonal/intermittent session postings ?

I've only just starting to get interested in speed sailing again, but I only want to do this during winter months. Is anyone keen ?. If you're interested, post here, or PM.

I don't think you have reached a speed above 25 knots yet J, so maybe create a " gentle cruise team". ![]()

We'll see
. I was almost keeping up with Carl last year at Stansbury, so I have definitely cracked over 30 knots, just not logged. I've had a hiatus from GPS loggers for about four years and winter kicking in, I'm now keen to see what I can do.

Just join up to either team on GPSTeamChallenge.com.au (does not matter what speed you do either, what does matter is using a legit GPS device and highly recommend a GW-60 made by Locosys (downside costs a bit))
-Bogan Speed Team (Carl, Sam, Shane, etc)
-SA Speed Demons (not many posting much these days, PK seems most active)
I joined up with Mandura Mob as these guys are pretty easy going, but are WA based mostly. I'm one of the slowest on the team but I like doing distance!
Cheers Peter (aka PJ on Mandurah Mob team list)
The Bogans is a very serious team. They only accept members who post every time they sail. I thought that was the case with the Speed Demons as well. I had a chat to Tim, and he said he would accept me and happy for me only to post in winter time. So just waiting to be put on the list. Yep, I own a GW-60.
If you're not going for records then make your own team with other local sailors.
Or find a small no stress team like mine??
