Not a bad day at Semaphore today. There was a little intermittent swell coming through and it was less sloppy. Wind was a bit variable but generally great fun - and finally no weed!

Got there early (2:30pm for my 'lunch break'). Looks like it stayed windy till dusk - wish I could have stayed around as it seemed like one of the better days for that spot.

Indeed Mitton. Did stay in after you left and picked up a tad (powered up 5.2m).

That could be it for the next week.

It was a really good day although the wind was not so stable at all time!
I was there from 1 pm and the wind got stronger and stronger. Therefore my 4,2m was too big again. :-D

And there was wind until sunset.

I hope tomorrow is another good windsurfing day!

Hi Koshi & Luise. Wind isn't looking too good at the moment. 6 knots at blackpole (1:30pm):

It's an incoming tide, so might be worth going down there later . I'll keep checking

@divaldo: ah, yes! you are right. I was a little bit confused because "Ja" in German means "Yes"

Was the best windsurfing day in the late afternoon since I am here! Big fun!

haha :).. yeah, that was a fun session Luise . I couldn't believe it came in like that so late (6:30pm). It went from bummer to bumper. You and Lee were going nucking futs ! . I wish I had a camera. As usual, I wasn't rigged for the occasion (6.7m sail, long harness lines blah blah blah ).

Tomorrow, I'll take out my new 104L board for the 1st time. I just have to glue the nose kit onto it tonight... and then I will be ready for tomorrow's spanking (probably bulk catapults installed )

I'm heading down there soon (nothing else to do at home). Haven't decided where I'll go. Either Bower Rd or Jetty Rd, or both

russh you are definitely right!

I am going now to Semaphore.. maybe first a little bit running, reading and that stuff and if the wind is getting stronger.. then training with my waveboard!

Don't know about you guys, but that was hard work at Largs.

It got a bit ugly at the pub too I'm afraid. The last thing I saw as I got thrown out of the window, was poor old Koshi getting thigh clamped by the big female security guard. The manager (who looked a bit like Will Ferrell) was screaming in blood curl: 'YOU WIND SURFERS !, YOU'LL NEVER GET AWAY WITH THIS ! DO YOU HEAR ME !!!'. It all started when the waitress complained that we ordered a 10 seat table for two people. I told her 'what the **** am I meant to do about it ?' (in vino veritas). Not happy with that response, she then threw our food on the floor when it finally arrived... and the whole trouble started from there. On the whole, I think we made a good impression :). Koshi managed to rape the salad bar before all that happened, and if he keeps that up, he will look like that big security guard .

I hope you made it home in one piece Koshi....

Do it all again today

Sorry, there was a family wedding on the next day and I was really tired because of windsurfing 3 days in a row.

But I hope I could come the next time... hopefully to get not in contact with that female security.

Greetz,
Luise

Semaphore has really turned it on this week, Two sails in a week there is pretty rare for us, Thursday afternoon was great fun, then the shortest sail in history yesterday (we sailed for 25 minutes due to me having to be in Mt Barker by 7), but lesson learnt, anytime there is SSW /SSE Semaphore is good option.

Took my GT-31 unit out for the first time. Need to look at the data, but I clocked 35km/h on my 115L OES with a 7m Global Mauisail about 3pm (just before it arced up) and 36km/h on my 104L starboard with 5.2m Mauisail switch at about 5pm. I've got my **** cut out . Nice little tool , it even measures areas.

I reckon the boys were going twice as fast without a GPS on clean head high waves with 15 knots of wind on their wave gear with some lip smacking close out air to top it off!!!
Dont need a gps on a wave to tell you how fast ya goin.
