Well done Newby, the young blokes should be leading the way with this?
Count me out, too old and too slow![]()
Bout time the younger crew grow some haggots and crack into it......
Just let me know so I can get my deck chair and eski ready......
Need wind and some decent waves first!! Wish I seen it! Seacliff was ****house just like usual these days.
sweet as, get most of the way round? not enough rain for me to be able to bail on work. wasn't even that windy in goolwa, hardly a whitecap on the lake.
Maybe the next wave expression session should have a looping comp - 30mins all out assault allin with some video evidence and get our hands on those black box gps recorders - with an ambulance and board repairer standing by!!
Marty Sellars suggested this for last year - winner gets bragging rights, an extra beer and free medical treatment
More than happy to bring the HD video camera.
Jeez douple forwards i'd be happy with a single, Nice work Carl.
Carl how are those prototype severne's??
Marty
The new Severn's feel awsome Marty, light powerfull and responsive. As for the attempt it was only about one and a half if that. 5.3m2 and 98 litres is not the go and definatly not endo!
I've stopped doing double forwards.....hurts my balls on the landing, I must jar them a bit when my board lands a little flat, it's better to plane straight out of them but I can't always do that.....I guess free balling in my wetsuit doesn't help either![]()
The goggles were a bit fogged. I did say double forward attempt. It was clearly that. Carl just kept going round after the first one, got just under 1.5. Still, better than those of us who only have tried them in our heads - over and over and over and.... I attempted a few a couple of years ago but would just freak out when I felt the over rotation and bail.
Carl did not bail.
