If anyones keen to go to boggy on the weekend let me know, im planning on going out for the first time.... forecast looks promising.
Oooh.... decisions! theres the SUP race on sunday but I havent decided if Ill do it yet..... If I dont I might give boggy a crack! seems like a good Idea if the wind is right! Ill let you know closer to the weekend!
Do both,
Race for SUP starts early, 10.30am ish, then pack up straight down to Boggy,
It looks like Saturday is going to be windier though.....
Yeah, and saturday is the ONboard Demo Day for Kitesurfing down at the chicken shop at semaphore I think so I will try and Kite that day...
Doing the SUP and then going to boggy might be a bit much for me. have to jam in some study for my last 2 uni exams EVER!
Cheers, Luke.
cross it with a fat punchy wedging shorebreak in port elliot and you have a movie about a bloke with a massive shlong (boogy knights)
I noticed that last night.... wouldnt let me change, anyway at least it got some reply's.... um yeh wind will be better saturday by the looks of it, but heading out for a ride Saturday [}:)]
So does a NE breeze work at boggy?. I'm keen for Sat but dont want to drive there to find out its no good
I haven't had too much luck at boggy in northerly winds. I think the wind is restricted by the adelaide hills (which only drop off at strathalbyn) and these hills make the usual gusty northerlies even more gusty.
It's fine to sail except the wind might be (a) less windy, and (b) more gusty.
NE is slightly better than N (as there are less hills to the NE) but personally I wouldn't drive down there for any northerly wind.
Yeh the weekend is looking worse and worse the more I look..... Tuesday might be an option, keep me updated if you dont mind, dont want to come down and nobody there....actually not real sure where to go lol ![]()
With a 13-15 kt westerly on sunday, boggy might be the spot to go! still havent decided yet but I think I will either hit boggy on sunday or seacliff yacht club for a bit of fun but flat water is very tempting!
id hit goolwa, on the lake as close as you can get legaly to the barrage. the wind seems to funnel down the lake and was quite steady on a northerly many a year ago. providing theres enough carp infested water there?![]()
So is anyone going to boggy tomorrow? Im going to have a look at the sup race between brighton and glenelg around 11 tomorrow. will launch from seacliff yachtclub and then cruise down the beach towards glenelg and back.
Na heading to Goolwa, will be there around 11 am, see how we go from there.... if theres no wind we'll have the kayaks to paddle around in and maybe catch a few waves...
, look out for the silver colarado with the big blue AHD and Pink BIC
cya there
It will be blowing west and turning south west tomorrow so I would suggest boggy would be a better spot.
