3.5-4.5' WNW'ly ~20knots
Thinking Day St could be too big.
Any tips for sailing Bashams?
Rocks to look out for?
Stingrays?
Is the wave predictable?
How powerful is it?

bashams can be a really fun place to sail.. especially when its big.

the rocks are just to the left of the walk way and the water seems to suck towards them when a set comes.

the shorebreak is fare brutal aswell.

pick a gust, and a lull and get out there. might cya there myself

if its 4 times the size of today then it will be flat as a tack. couldn't even see a wave this arvo. bashams jacks up quick and moves around a bit but is fun, i've only sailed a few times there, but always had fun, gets really sucky.biggest problem is they put a picnic table in the midle of the rigging area

Thanks guys - will definitely check it.

PS: Barrelling waves at Goolwa on Sunday - what's going on? Was it just a South Swell or has the Murray Mouth opening up changed the banks? It's certainly changed the water clarity - could hardly see my feed when I was sitting on my board!

Not sure if I'll be able to make it before it goes SW again on sat - would be keen if still on in the arvo - picking up a new red n tan kelpie puppy in the morning with the kids so won't get anywhere till late.

Nice squirt of wind at snaps last night - was hard to find a ramp with the knee high waves buta sweet session with a few of the regulars - the inside of the lagoon was silky smooth and 20 +knts - great blasting between waves - must say the 99thruster works well as a bump and jump snapper board and has a reasonable turn of speed for a wave board - just need some good day street to get some favourite tack bareaways.

Yeah Pilly, bit lumpy but I had fun.
I remember one you were on it was over head high. I fell off (whats new) didn't see how it finished up.

Kook of the day award goes to-----"ME" decided to take the go pro out and take some footage, Yep, left it turned off

If the wind is in the same direction I might go back to Browns, if NW the valley.
I'll have a look at Posties but it might be to big for me.

Heading down to Browns for an AM sess in a minute.
PM sess will be around 1.

So how was it - sounds like it would have been some solid sets.

Sounds good Gareth - Wrong day to organise to pick up the new puppy from Murray bridge -t00k forever - bugger = Geoff's piccies look good.

Missed another one Did get on the water at 430 for a great 1 hour blast at the bottle shop but certainly would have enjoyed some bareaways (but probably not the snottings on the sets)
