The 2010 Onboard Robe Easter Classic is on again! Running over the Easter weekend from the 2nd to the 4th April, we can promise a great weekend away with a combination of Wavesailing, Kitesurfing and SUP. The event format is a simple 3 day expression session with an emphasis on waveriding and just having a good time.

Riders of all standards are encouraged to take part!! Sponsored by Onboard, Coopers, Redbull, Neilpryde, Cabrinha, Fanatic, North, Slingshot and the local guys at the Robe Bakery, Robe Butcher shop and the Robe Hotel! Apart from the riding, the traditional Friday Night at 3rd Ramp promises to be a big one with DJ Alex, Free Coopers and Redbull for all participants!!! Stewie is organizing a taxi to ferry crew from Robe to 3rd ramp on the night so call the store for further details!

Geoff has also arranged a ladies winery bus tour for the Saturday afternoon ($20 per head for the bus), it is booking out fast, again give us a call if you’re keen

Entry this year is $50.00, including a Coopers Showbag, Free Coopers and Redbull, BBQ lunch and the 2010 Robe Easter Classic Hoodie!!! We recommend signing up ASAP (now!) to ensure that you get your size and colour of hood – drop into the store we have the entry forms ready to go! We also recommend booking your accommodation ASAP – Robe entirely books out for Easter!

should be awesome! just hope the conditions turn it on! we have talked about running another "open" final at the end of the day with 5 of the best guys going out to decide the winner. just like we did at states. what do people think???

Only if theres been at least a couple of days wind - I think the way the comp has run in the past creates a good vibe in the water and everyone can sail as long as they want. Not sure if we get one day of wind that crew will want to get out and leave it to the "chosen few" unless it was in the comp sign up rules / comp briefing.

My 2 cents worth

EDIT: I like the concept as long as everyone gets as much time on the water as possible and the "sail off" is around 15-30 mins max

Cheers

jumpers have windsurfing and kiting brands plastered all over the back! i think people will get the message. we were pondering about running the final late in the day. like 5. everyone is usually pretty stuffed by then. i just think a final would be awesome to watch and make the comp a bit more formal. it is the biggest windsurfing event on the calender!

Best to be flexible with the structure. If the conditions are dodgy a expression session is good to start with. If solid then a heat structure.

I cannot find any accommodation, the place seems to be booked out. May have to find a place at Beachport or sleep in the car at 3rd ramp.

we had to pay a deposit in November to keep the van park site we've had for the past 3 years or they cancel your booking - we just book for the next year while we are there

I stayed at the van park last year. It was really very nice. I had the best spot (I was one of about 2 sites that had a clearing over looking the ski lagoon). .. but paid something like $130 for the privilege. I reckon spend that much and go 3rd's in a house. Divaldo et al has the right idea :)

Kym, Phoebe and I are all booked in for Robe, who is comin?
Was in at Onboard today, looks like 45 or so Vics have entered this year! Now I am not going to be happy if our 'lesser' cousins from across the fence take home the trophies! (although, I do like their faces when they drink Coopers beer!)
Get onto it peoples!

I don't care, windsurfing event, kite surfing event, SUP event it all sounds like a whole lot of fun to me. Ahhh and of course with the addition of a 4WD mission what could possibly add up to a better way to spend Easter, BRING IT ON
