. My home spot is very tidal influenced so it's often shallow and full of weed. So far I have used the MUF Delta fins both slalom and XT50 but now I would like to change them and I also thought about the Tribal delta and the Black Project Kestrel and I noticed that even if they have similar shapes they require different lengths: the Tribal fin selector for an 8m sail indicates an 18cm fin, MUF for a 7.7 indicates a 24cm and BP a 22 or 20cm. I read on the forum that the Tribal are very good but it may be true that between Tribal and MUF there are 6 cm of difference? What do you think are the best among these? I need a fin behavior oriented more to slalom than pure speed so also upwind and not just downwind, with the MUF I am quite good (better XT50 than slalom) in very flat water but if there is a bit of chop I have to be careful not to load too much with the back foot because there is a risk of spin out. With Tribal and BP is it the same or do these fins really have no spin out problems? I also read on the forum very well about the Fangy but if I understand correctly they are more flat water fins than chop fins and I can't find their website

If you want something that will handle chop and not spinout Fangys are great..They started out designed as a fin that had great early lift , upwind and spinout resistance and were still pretty fast. To make a crappy session fun!
The older non speed designed ones have still done 39kts plus .. and sail in patchy average wind they are terrific ! I trust my Fangys 100%..

I have low spinout resistance. I only have to spinout once to get cheesed off with a session..
Tribals are good but I've found they need to be more powered up than the Fangys to work well. They are probably a bit faster ( although I have the older Fangy's not the speed ones). They do spinout but are are easy to get back in.
Some people swear by the kestrels but I sold mine as they spin out in chop and to get them back in again I had to power off and slow right down.
Tectonics are said to be very good.
