been speaking to mark about a 65ish litre keel quad, to compliment my sick 72ltr keel quad. now to make things "simple" mark has thrown his latest concept into the mix. The bumble bee. apparently it is a diamond tail inspired by one of marks favourite surfboards and by all accounts it rips. ahh the choices

the inspiration

I know your pain.

I'd just placed an order for a small KQ but I'm gonna wait and see how the BB goes on its sea-trials.

Either way, Mark was saying he's tweaked the construction - simplified it, reduced the weight (comes in at 7Kg, fins and straps) and changed the boxes.

Now trying surfinz boxes, so compatible with FCS, Futures etc. 8mm adjustment and something like 150g of weight saved. He's also trying out smaller fins with less draft but a longer base.

Decisions, decisions...

Yea the stubby fins look sweeeet. Got some on the way. By the way the dims on both the boards are 7'2" x 21 1/2" similar bottom shape and rails, just slightly different nose and tail.

Nah they are shorter, wider base and a bit stiffer. I'll let you know how they go. I did however really like the stock ones that came with the board, they go really well in dtl conditions just looking for an on shore option with a slightly wider base. From the pics they look sweet
