Yep, great value for money. I've got 4.7 and a 5.2 and love them. Decent amount of power for get up and go and goes nice and neutral on the wave. Nice and light too.
they are cheap and work gud
+1 Quoted for truth
I have 2013 S1's and a 2013 Swat. The swat feels almost the same, I actually reckon it has a more stable foil.
Swats are great value for money sails especially if you spend the money you saved on a the Severne 90% C mast.
However if they are the wrong sail for you then the loss of enjoyment is not worth the money you save.
If you sail in places that are side to side off and are not gusty then this is when I like them best.
Lighter people also like them more than heavier people due to the less stable nature of a 4 batten vs 5 batten sail.
They have a different feel to other sails in the range. They have a nice light feel within the wind range and a very nice depower feel.
Generally I would say Blades are the every day sail for most wave sailors especially for bigger guys.
But when you get to 4.2 size the Swat is a fantastic sail I'd have to say is just unbeatable.
You definitely don't need 5 battens below 4.4 in fact the rigidity of the extra batten is not a feel most sailors want.
The other feature is they all can be rigged on 400 masts. Better to use the recommended mast size but for those who really don't wish to carry an extra mast then it is doable.
