Thumbs Up

German surf tested the kombat 89 - this is what they had to say:

On the water: It is a great compromise of agility and control – this was the clear statement of all six testriders. The chassis tuning is 100% successful. The soft cushion and the soft feeling in choppy water remain the same. Even without body–tension the board can be flown quickly and comfortably over the chop.
The sailor is always the master of the situation and the board only gets better in terms of jumping and agility. In the turn the board is hunts for its trajectory – choppy water? No problems.

Because the board follows the integrated radius by itself, classic freestyle manouvres work out easy. Yet the Kombat also has slide moves in its repertoire. A 180° turn works out easy and the slide feels soft, controlled and there is no risk to catch the edge in the water too early.

The Kombat is not in the style of the precise and direct grip of classical "water rowdy" but always impresses with its comfortable qualities.

The jibing characteristic can be found in the waves as well. The Kombat offers much control on the rail, feels there more soft than potent and the edges can be changed quite easily in wider turns. For short turns more pressure is necessary.

Conclusion: A very successful, comfortable Allrounder with best freestyle performance.
