Has anyone had to change the rope on a North carbon RDM extension?
First question is how do you do it?
Second Question is what rope did you replace it with?

Any help would be much appreciated!!

I have one, and just tighten the rope until the rope comes up through the top of the extension tube. [helps if you take the pin out of the sliding ring]

I do this periodically as the rope gets shorter after each use, as I find that pulling the rope inverse a reall pain when it does not have lots of tension on it.

I have yet to replace the rope.

There are instructions on the north website, but in my case I think the instructions are for an earlier model.

If they are same as the STD ext, the cord is a 4.5mm and from memory its not stocked well in Aus. However, Mylar 4mm does the same job. I have a couple of them, and it works fine. The JP/NP shop stocks it over here.
