Just bought a new chinook carbon boom from 2nd wind and tested it out down at Australind today with squally conditions and some pelting rain just to make visibility interesting. I was using a wave boom before and found that the sail wasn't bagging out enough, but the new 180x240 was great to allow the full potential of the 6.6m koncept I rigged. Had a blast and allowed me to get past the rig's hoodoo of 28kn.
Absolutely no sign of movement on the head and the 28mm grip was perfect for comfort. No cramping forearms from a too thick style grip.
