no it wont work. get an X6 and it will be awesome.
a skinny will break the cams and cost you $$$
The sail is not designed for a skinny.

im not sure what a h2 is but loft sails are designed for both RDM&SDM UP TO 9.3 as long as you use the mini cams, ka's use mini cams , i use RDM'S on my ka koncept 5.0, rs4.6,rss5.8 & rs 6.2
i'm sure its not recommended but it works for me , the big test is the 4.6 it's meant for a 370 but i rig it on a 400 meaning more pressure on the mast
after saying that i have noticed the ka rig's with heaps less down haul than the prides

Agree 100%, get an X6 for the H2 and will be beautiful.

I use an X6 with my new H2 and older V8's and it is fantastic.

The NP UltraCam only works on a SDM mast.

I use X6 on my 7.7m H2 and it works great. I use X9 masts on my RSS MkIV 7.0m and 6.2m and RSR Evo II LE 5.5m. I was planning on updating the X6 mast to X9, but I will be replaing the H2 7.7m with the RS One 7.8m sail etc in the next couple of weeks.

The UltraCam size has been designed around the size of a NP SDM mast. The UltraCam pressure on the mast is adjusted from batten tension, not from the more common systems by use of spacers between the cam and the batten pocket. This means the UltraCam cannot be replaced with a RDM version as they do not exist. If they did the UltraCam system is very complex with a multiple tie lines etc.

To use a RDM with a UltraCam the mast will not sit correctly within the cam. Plus the sails with UltraCams have been designed for a SDM mast. If you have used both a SDM and RDM mast on a wave sail you will notice the RDM mast setup requires more down and out haul tension to get the battens away from the mast. For a cam sail that has been solely designed for SDM mast, more tension is going to flatten the sail out way too much.

For more details on the UltraCam you should check out the NP website and some of their podcast videos about the UltraCam.

This site seems to suggest a different feeling rather than that RDMs are a no go with the ultracam.

Interesting, I have not seen that quote about the RDM mast on the UltraCam sail before. For me if the RDM is goign to be slower to respond for sail that has been designed for speed. Then the RDM mast is still is not a very suitable.

I wonder why this NP site has comments about RDM mast but others don't.

You have two options;
1. All I can say is try it and see how it feels for yourself.
2. Post a question on the NP website and you will a quick answer.

NP don't make a RDM for there cam ed sails so there not going to recommend one, what they want you to do is fork out $1200 or more for an X9, they also don't recommend a NP X6, because of the larger diameter
if you have a look on the NP site" Suspended cam is self-adjusting to accommodate different mast diameters." also have a look at the batten holders they have 2 to 3 holes to adjust the string length, http://racing.neilpryde.com/technology-2011/ultracam.html
also have a look at the loft site they recommend 2 different masts + rdm&sdm

LOFT BLADE 8.6 493 225 490/29 rdm 460 490 rdm sdm
SWITCH BLADE 8.5 504 224 490/29 rdm 490 505 rdm sdm
LOFT 02 5.9 438 192 430/21 rdm 400, 430, 460 3 MASTS
mabe ask a few of the guys that use these sails on rdm's

Keef, I have a NP V8 with Ultracams in it, and the cams are just too wide to rig on a RDM. They are self adjusting, but not enough to go down to the RDM diameter. Maybe the smaller size sails have a narrower cam to start with?

All my Koncepts now have RDM cams. They are Ezzy RDM cams, and work great, but they are much narrower than the SDM cams they came with.

If the H2 has Ultracams, the OP is probably going to have to use a SDM. When I looked at my V8 with the idea of changing to RDMs, I saw the jungle of rope in there, and figured it was best left alone.
