Has anyone tried out the Starboard WINSUP 9'0 or 10'0 ASAP Winsup boards? I have been firing up the Windsurfer Onedesign at rotto sailing windward leewards around the bay with a few mates but chasing something a bit lighter and that the wife can take supping...
I see the ASAP model is lighter than the electric models which sounds good as I don't mind the fixed centrefin.
Upwind sailing ability is a key driver.
I was wondering how easy it would be to uphauling on the 9'0 which is 137 Litres ?
Thoughts,
Cheers,
Alistair
The Starboard Windsup ASAP 9 i am not certain if it has the center fixed fin. If upwind sailing is the key driver i would go for the 10' Whopper ASAP as this has the center fixed fin. Now if you want even more upwind performance go for the AST construction in the Whopper. Take your upwind performance even further then go for the Blend Windsup model in the AST model.
Depending on your skill level, weight and conditions will determine how easy uphauling on the Converse Windsup 9'0 137L. For some the 137L board is huge and for others it will feel small.
