Hi

Whats the general concensus - for marginal, gusty float n ride, beach break, DTL riding....S1 or Blade and why?

Cheers,

Depends whether u like the power of the sail to feel like it is pulling from the boom ( blade) or above the boom(s1) as the s1 is designed for more wave oriented manourves and tricks on the wave hence a higher power region, makes them feel twitchy to some people with a feeling of no power to overpower in a way, blades much bigger range, lower down power in my opinion!!

Probably also worth checking out the Freek. Float and ride is usually slightly bigger sails, so 4 batten isn't always ideal. The Freek is very similar to previous years 5 batten S1 - but a lot cheaper. It's obviously designed for freestyle, so very light and manoeuvrable.
