Well I have not done this before but I was compelled to let anyone who is keen on getting themselves a very very fast comfortable board that the JP 74 127L Super Sport GOLD EDITION is the lightest, best board of that size I have ever had the pleasure of riding and thats over 20 years of sailing!
Last Saturday me and a friend had a drag race upwind and downwind off the coast of Perth and the JP handled the chop on the way out very well. I thought that I would have been caught and permanently passed at some stage downwind and briefly I was but then the hammer came down and away she went taking out the friendly drag race to the wire.
The interesting thing was that it was not a day for the 7.8 RS6 and 127L that I was using as it was quite windy. Most guys that day were on 110L or smaller and around 6.5m sails (my buddy was on 6.7 and 110L well powered). I was blown away by the acceleration and control even with the 42cm standard issue fin which somehow held it together when a 35cm would have done the job.
Crikey I dont want to go on as the board speaks for itself. If you spot someone with one beg for a go on it you will be amazed (thats if they feel like getting off it which is unlikley). BPG
Did you have to sell you car to buy it, aren't they a very big $$$. Maybe this is JP's new slalom board in disguise. ![]()
I rode the 127 and loved it but bought the 118 and love it even more! $$ did not stretch the the gold edition. Still extremely happy with the purchase.
