Had the opportunity again to ride this board from Sunshine Coast Sailboards.
To compare I have sailed the Sonic 100, S Type 93, Isonic 122 & now the Futura's. The flat deck gives the board a feeling of great control along with the Futura. Excellent light weight finish, nice straps and pads and awesome graphics.
The acceleration is simply blinding. I sailed this with a 6.5 in about 15-18 knots, a little below its optimum wind range, but it still was simply kick butt fast! If you were doing GPS on a nice flat spot, this is the machine.
The gybes were easier than a Sonic, but required more rider input than the Futura.
For general all around sailing its a little bit technical to ride, but easier than the older Sonic models.
If you want to be the fastest, then this board is 10/10, end of story!
Yep they are one sweet board. I have had mine for a month now.
It flys and gybe's like a demon!!!
