Had a great sail Saturday at Lake Cootharaba. It was very hot but the reward was trying out the new Simmer 2XC 2014 sails supplied by Caloundra Wind and Surf. The 2XC has 2 cams and are very easy to rig. Plenty of down-haul, by hand, and the cams, RDM and SDM cams, click on no problem. Trim the sail to the wind conditions and on the water you go, that simple.
Sailing the 2XC was equally enjoyable. We had two sails rigged, the 8.5m and 6.5m. The conditions where very up and down so we could try the two sails in all wind speeds to 18 knots. Both sails are very well balanced and don???t feel ???heavy??? in the very light winds we had. In the high gusts the 8.5 handled surprisingly well and did not feel overpower. The 6.5 is just a dream to sail, control and speed this all we need ;).

Can???t wait for some more action this weekend!
