The Materials Revolution continues.

Excerpt from Review in Wind Magazine - France

As soon as you get to hold the rig, you can feel its surprising lightweight:
with only 4.4 kg on the scale, it also feels amazingly light in the hands.
This lightweight feeling is confirmed on the water, giving the impression of handling a tiny sail.

The sail can be sheeted in with great ease and never stops accelerating –all of it effortlessly.

Although the sail gets easily forgotten on the water, its performances and power
don't. It is very quick in any wind strength, with obvious power and
unbeatable stability.

When the wind picks up, the sail keeps accelerating without flinching.

It rides over the chop so smoothly that you forget all about it: just enjoy the ride and the speed.
This rig is definitely oriented towards straight line performance thanks to its forward draft. You feel like you are on a slalom sail, but without the cams, fuss or pain.

The NCX is not physical at all. It is accessible to everyone
and is number one with the North X-Type in its maneuverability. Carve jibes are as easy as they can be.
The rig is very easy to handle in waterstarting too, thanks to its shape, which isn't very deep, and to its outstanding lightweight.

VERDICT
Severne offers a sail that is quick, stable, and accessible to all.

It is a true achievement in the books of the nocam freeride range.

Once again this year, the NCX makes you forget you have a sail in your hands, yet it stays extremely quick, and furthermore, it is easy to sail. The whole test team liked this product.

PROS:
Speed
Acceleration
Lightness

CONS:

NOTHING

I have 2. a 6.5 and 7.5 and they rock! Never felt so much power and control in a camless sail.

I hate the weight of cammed sails and these are so light they make it all fell so easy.

I've got a 6.5 2012 NCX Pro. Owned it for about 9 months now. Very happy with it :). In 10 knots on my 100L freeride board (and with a bit of help from the swell), I'm planing around while other people slugging around. Like a race sail, it sucks the apparent wind. The faster I go, the faster I go ! :)
