Thumbs Up

Following hot on the heels of their rave review of the test topping Severne S1 wave sail- the Freeride NCX has taken out best in test!

Here in oz we think its great having Aussie designed product dominating the worlds most respected and followed magazine review - tests like these virtually guarantee strong sales for these sails in Europe. From my early test rides of the 08 NCX at the phgoto shoot in hawaii -this sail is going to be miles ahead of the pack for next season - 08s available in OZ end August.

Severne NCX 7.0

On Water:

A superlative free ride sail: just start, sheet in and have fun. The sail feels very soft, neutral and light in any wind condition. For heavier sailors, it might be a touch too nervous. Light holding forces, turbo acceleration and good control benefiting the technique of every sailor. In strong winds, an extra km/h more can be teased out. In the upper wind range it is the fastest sail. Its extraordinary performance in light and gusty conditions is also remarkable.
The sail profile readily adapts to the wind. Light as well as heavier sailors profit from this flexibility; sailing upwind works strikingly well. Not enough of the praise: this Severne sail can do more than just jibing. The jack-of-all-trades can celebrate all classic moves. The battens rotate freely during maneuvers. Freedom can be totally uncomplicated!

Summary: An extreme successful all round-free ride sail with overall best performance and handling points. It lies light and neutral in the hand during maneuvers and top speed action.

Tip: Best freeride all round sail
