I have a Severne blue 430 RDM and a 150-200 carbon wave boom.
can i use this 430 on a 2019/20/21 NCX 7.0 ?
I believe Severne recommends a 460, normally SDM. (The sail specs: Luff 463 / boom 190)
How much performance do I lose going for the shorter mast in RDM, which i guess ends up being softer relative to the recommended mast?
is it only in the low end where there is a performance loss, or is top end stability impacted too?
How will the sail perform as a whole? is it a workable option?
cheers.

I had similar discussions with a Severne tech guy. Outcome: The Severne 7.0 sails can often be used with 430 and 460 masts. 460 is recommended but 430 works if you are a lighter sailor. If you are heavy, the 430 might be too soft (because you would use the sail for stronger winds).
With RDM instead of SDM there is more sail material to form a deeper profile and could give slightly more low-end power.
If you are not too heavy and don't earn a living with windsurf racing, I'd give it a try.

Not sure if this helps but I have been using my 430 RDM Severne Gorilla on my 6.5 NCX and Wave boom for years with no issues.
I use 7m Gator on 430 RDM - as heavyweight too- and its bloody superb. The NCX would have to be fine.
