An unexpected wave launched me through my premier-priced No cam freeride 6.2. Have just replaced it with the Severne NCX 6.0. I'm impressed, it's a better sail. Very stable, plenty of shape for good power, looks to be well put together. Handles the big gusts very comfortably. Rigs first time using the manufacturer's numbers!! I suppose it's been said before ( but, until now, not by me ) "you'd think it had cams".

The best part is the price. hundreds of dollars cheaper!

Is that the regular NCX or the NCX Pro Ian?

Been thinking about these too but haven't seen many about (Northern Beaches anyway!). Wondering what difference the Pro makes for the extra $$$. Might be the lighter wind big sail perhaps?

Hi underfinned,
I can tell you for certain they are on the northern beaches. Look a treat too!

I've been a devotee of NCX for years. They just keep geting better, my 2012 7.5 gets put up in anything rom 15-25knts, and even in the 25+ gusts it just twists off like a cambered sail.
I've got 2,3 and 4 cambers sails, but the NCX is always first one out of the quiver
