Thumbs Up

If you spent years wavesailing and training yourself to turn off your front foot but are struggling with SUP's that require the back foot to be jammed on the tail of the board and turning from there, try a SMIK spitfire.

I'm a wavesailor but moving more towards surfing last few years so had to train the back foot. Demo'd the 29" 111L SMIK spitfire the other day at Mettam in shoulder high low power dumpy waves. Best backside riding I've ever done without a sail and great on the steep later drops when it still finds grip to shot along the face. But it stalled on frontside tight top to bottom riding something which I've been working on with my other surf boards and it stalled on other tight turns.
Bit disappointed until i engaged the front foot wavesailor style and used all that curved rail. Rider it like a waveboard and it works awesome. Found i didn't need my foot at the stern all the time and even had a bit of a nose ride on the smaller waves on the way in.

Why didn't Scot bring this board out 3yrs ago when i starting suping, would have made transitions so much easier.I'm 78kg and was looking for it to be my large allround SUP and found it to be very stable. Worth a demo if your wondering why your SUP isn't turning like your waveboard.
