I'm eyeing off some new light wind gear. I'm considering an 8.4m RS Slalom or Racing together with an iSonic 111. Does anyone know what the main differences are between the Slalom and Racing versions of this sail ??

Slalom has more low end power and gets going quicker,Racing has more top end speed once it's powered up.

MPL the RS racing has the new cams which should rotate a lot better. The RS Slalom has the same rotation dramas as the RS6. They take a long time to stretch in. If buying a RSS it should be a fair bit cheaper as the Racing (RS7) has made it obsolete.

MPL i own a RS slalom 8.4 i've been sailing it for a few months now and am very impressed with the low end power it always feels rock solid, the rss is definately the most balanced sail i've used. For an 8.4m it seems to generate alot of top end speed. It took me afew sails to get the cam pressure dialed in (plenty of shim changes) but it rotates sweet now. On light wind days i use my 8.4m with my new JP slalom III pro edition and select evo 39 and have found this to be a great combination.
