Used a 6.7 NP RS Slalom MkII yesterday generously given by Sam at WSS.
Straight out of the box it was a great sail. easy to rig, light & soft feeling on the water.
Absolute perfection to rotate every time and just so easy to use. Great acceleration, great top end and easy to gybe.
Gotta be pleased with a PB on a AB+ 90 of 34.4. Never even looked like being over powered and it was as gusty as ever.
If you want a sail that is easy to use for GPS sailing and just keeps on going quicker & quicker give one a go, you will definitely be wrapped.
The Mk 11 was actually faster than the first lot of the new RS Racing sails.
Quote from Kevin Ozee NP Maui;
Aloha,
The racers are testing RSS MKII sails against RS Racing sails in slalom sizes - and, yes, the MKII sails are faster. But, not as fast as the new RS Racing slalom sizes...
The prototype sails I've used just feel lighter and more stable - easier to go fast, so you can push them harder for better top speed.
I'll second that. I have an RSS Mk11 7.8m, I'd say it's the best sail I've owned. Fast, efficeint and smooth. It was a great upgrade to my 06 V8, brought a new lease of life to my slalom boards. It was managable with gusts of up to 20-25 knots but kept me on the plane in 12 knots.Think I'll have to try the 6.7m.... Sam
Pushed mine to over 36 knots on monday arvo, was so light in my hands i didn't believe my gps when i finished my run
Larko invented the dark side you fool, How long have you been around?!!! He can do things with nostrils and condoms that defy sanity...oops I mean sanitary....whatever. Mark Angulo can vouch for that!!!
Boys, boys, boys. Chill![]()
That last post brings back some memories that are probably left dead K![]()
Des, can you wait until Feb for the 6.7 and the new RS Racing's will be here, please!!! Have a go when Im down at Kyeemagh.
Seriously I was super impressed after using the sail, just straight of the bag fast, easy and light in the hands. Big wind range too!!
