For the 2nd year best rated board... yahi! nice one ! ![]()
QUATRO FREEWAVE 85 2007
241.5x58.6x85L
WHAT WE LIKED: A favorite. Fun on edge, fun
for freestyle, and its light, lively ride was
tempered perfectly by comfy straps and pads.
A top pick for its hands-on control in ballistic
conditions.
BUYER BEWARE: One intermediate/
advanced heavyweight tester felt it
lacked speed and early planing performance
for bump-and-jump sailing.
BETTER THAN THE FLEET AT: Pleasing the vast
majority of a rather opinionated test team in
varied wind and water conditions.
BEST SUITS: Intermediate to expert sailors
looking to advance to the next level and
beyond; lightweight and middleweight
sailors.
OTHER HIGHLIGHTS: MFC straps
offered excellent comfort and adjusted
easily.
Ciao!
Alberto
I purchased an 85L 2006 Quatro FS Wave and am extremely happy. I chose the 06 model over the 07 as I liked the paint job better (oh the vanity), with the shape and rocker of both being similar to my eye, with the 07 model being just a touch longer.
I am 90kg (is that classified as heavy weight???)and have no problem getting this baby planning, in fact I find it fast to plane compared to my previous board (Naish Wave 8'5"...82L), and the speed very good, which is fantastic for cross-onshore sailing. Turns beautiful too........Go see Alberto and try one of these, or try one of the Goya One Aqua (my Brother has one of these and they ride very similar to the Quatro FS Wave)
I am one very happy customer of Quatro and Alberto (Windshack)
