I had 3 of them a 4.9 HD, a 5.5 and a 6.1. I bought them as my first quiver of sails when i first started windsurfing just under 12 months ago. They were all 2011. They have pretty good low down grunt and a reasonable wind range. They are a fairly stable sail until the wind is just too strong for the size you have rigged. I liked them quite a lot until a got my new range of sails which are much nicer but the Fusions are still a pretty good all round sail that you can use on flat water and even do a bit of jumping and stuff on. They are also fairly well prices in comparison to the other Pryde sails. The HD's feel a little bit nicer than the standard ones too i recon. They have a slightly softer feel or something. I can't exactly put my finger on it but the HD just felt smoother. Also they all rig on the same mast a 430. Although the 4.9 rigged nicer on a 400 rdm. I originally had an X3 430 sdm then i bought 2 X6's 430 sdm and 400 rdm which i rigged them on. They are just a good honest all round sail that is well priced and pretty good at most things but master of none.
Thanks for the info qldnacra, its a toss up between the Fusion or the Ezzy Freeride,
by the way what are your new sails?
