HI
As the new 2012 sail ranges are coming out by all the brands I noticed in some recent photos especially by loft and Ka sails that the revealing of there new sails have the same back drop but different angle shot.
It seems that they are manufactured from the same factory, I am assuming it the same factory.
So if this is correct then both sails use same materials and either sail should last as long as each other, therefore which every sail you choose you will get the same life out of them all good for the customer.
How many other brands are made from the same place. Also if it is from the same place then each brand know what each others sails will look like so there is no secrets.
See the photos below and see if it is the same back drop with a different angle shot I am guessing by the same two colours in the brick work.
Kind regards
Walt
Hi Walt
Nice spotted with the same background!!! :)
Regarding the quality for the sails, you will get what you ask for. Every sail brand has a specific spec sheet (materials, quality, designs, construction etc.) that they specify to the factory. With other words the factory that produce the best quality sails can also have the worst quality sails from another brand,, (to take it to the extreme). You get what you ask/ pay for.
You should think that with different brands made on the same factory, that a "sneak peak" would be possible, to see what the others is up to.
But I can tell you that the factory is extremely strict and wont let anybody into the production rooms. Mostly you will be allowed in a smaller room and they will bring your sails to there for changes etc. It is impossible to walk around to have a look,,,
Cheers

Is the factory somewhere in China? If so is it a similar arrangement was with Cobra where one factory makes sails for almost all the brands?
