German Brand , made at Cobra .Full Biaxial Carbon , Attention to detail and finish is excellent . I can't wait for 30 knots at Sandy point !!!
Well I can definitely say my wife is heavier !!!
The 63 litre board is 221 x 44.5 and 4.8 Kg,s
The 83 litre board is 225 X 49.5 and 5.4 kg,s
They are really compact , with a fair bit of volume thrown into to a small board . Probably wider in the tail than most speed boards and a pretty flat bottom shape . They definitely look fast thats for sure .
I hoping I can get down to Sandy Point soon and then I can give you my impressions .
Regards Martin
Well yesterday it got wet for the first time .
Sandy Point in a gusty westerly , a very broard course with a fair bit of chop . Perfect conditions for my first ever attempt at riding a speed board , not!!!!.
Well ,it,s definitely harder than I thought . A board this size certainly needs some techinique to get going when you are not the lightest guy in the world , but the thing that shocked me the most was the shere accelleration . I was way to timid to get near testing what this thing could do , it just wanted to go fast and I didn,t !!!
My best time was a 36 knot displayed and I think I was out of the harness going "holy sh....t" at the time .
I need alot of practice to get even near testing the speed potential of this board . Amac got his best time for the day on it , so thats really encouraging . I have left it down at Sandy Point with Andrew Daff for the guy,s to try . Hopefully the weather will co-operate so I can see what sort of speed somebody with skill can milk out of it .
It,s all good fun .
Pulled a 41.56 2 sec and a 40.5 500 metre today on the bigger Lorch speed board the Division S 83 . Not bad for my second ever try at spped sailing and I was on a 6.6 . I,m stoked!!!!
