Just got the new Enigma 170-220 (last 2 photos) and this boom looks fantastic. Super light and stiff Also got the 190-240 for the bigger guys, looks great

Yes, the 170 is a beautiful boom. Light, stiff and easy to grip.
Having sailed it a couple of times with my 6.2 it feels lighter in the hands compared with the 180 based boom.
This makes the boom a good choice for our surf slalom with big waves or on very small slalom boards. Maybe it would be a great fit for speed boards as well but I haven't tried speedboards in ages, just regular slalom boards.
For general chop or flat water slalom, the 180 is still my boom of choice.

Could feedback how the 8.6 does feel with the 190 based boom compared with the 210 based boom?

If you don't want to own an enigma boom don't try one.
Seriously the best boom by far.
My 140-190 Is very stiff, very light, a great diameter to grip and a dream front end.

Great booms ! I have four of them gor one year now and they still look like new, super stiff, light and durable. Oval tubes in the grip area are just great, same profil as on AL 360 carbon that I used before
