OK before I start yes I ride for NP & JP through Windsurfing Perth, so feel free to take the below information as you wish and if Laurie thinks this is outside the Seabreeze Forum guidelines I am sorry and he can take it down.

Just thought I would inform the Windsurfing public that Windsurfing Perth have been able to pick up a number of brand new 2015 sails from Neil Pryde at a good price which means Reg can forward this onto the customer, love him or hate him the big bloke does do some of the best if not the best deals in the industry especially for beginners and repeat customers.

Sails that I saw in the shop were as follows:
Hellcats – No cam free race sail
Fly – 3 batten full on wave sail, my choice for pure wave sailing
Wizard – Freestyle sail in my opinion also a great wave sail
Atlas – Power wave sail and great free ride sail
Fusion – Great all-rounder and super strong and light in the HD format

Also as of now Windsurfing Perth will be the only shop stocking Naish Windsurfing in Perth and he has a number of 2016 and 2017 sails and boards in the shop now. I also believe that Reg will be picking up some 2016 left over stock from Gastra and Tabou which again he will sell at a reduced price.

My best advice with dealing with Reg:
a) Listen to him he has been in the game along time and knows what he is talking about, he has seen all the fads and knows what works best for most of his customers.

b) Do not ever ask for a discount or his best price as he will likely up his price, the price he offers you is his best price and is always below recommended retail price form the supplier.

c) Be polite.

d) If you want the sail rigged or want to learn to rig the sail just ask he will be more than happy to do so, if the shop is super busy he might ask to come in on a slower day but he will have the sail rigged and tune for you in the shop if required.

e) If trading in gear bring it with you he cannot give you a trade in price without seeing the goods

I hope this helps and he is to a great season of wind and waves.

Pete

Cool Pete, let's put Laurie to the test.

For those on the eastern seaboard, I can vouch for Sunshine Coast Sailboards in Caloundra in Qld. And by the way, I'm just your average Joe weekend free rider, no sponsorship, no ties whatsoever, just happy to know a shop where I can buy gear when I want it which offers friendly knowledgeable service, free freight on decent orders, trade in of second hand gear, reasonable prices on trade ins of second hand gear, helpful friendly advice, a huge range of spare parts when you need them urgently, a good range of new gear, a good range of different brands to choose from, a guarantee of lowest price for the same gear available at the time and a web site that is kept updated. Add to this their sponsorship of winsurfing events in SE Qld. All adds up to a shop that is a pleasure to deal with which is cool when you live 10 hours drive from the nearest shop.

And BTW, I think you'll you'll find they have some really good prices on brand new 2015 NP sails!

Ah, and I forgot:

When dealing with Remi:
a) Speak French, that will put him in the right mood to listen to your excuses for not being a great windsurfer and needing more equipment.
b) Do not ever ask for a discount unless you pay in French Francs, the ones before the euro.
c) Never take drugs or excessive amounts of alcohol before speaking with him.
d) If you want the sail rigged or want to learn to rig the sail just post here on seabreeze and you will receive instructions on at least 60 different ways to do it, including also some life histories and description of accidents and deseases.
e) If trading in gear bring it with you and if you are not happy with the price start an abusive thread on seabreeze again !
