Does anyone own a 2006 90L Nash Hybrid Slalom? What are they like, what fin works best, Whats the best way to set it up?
I have spent about 30mins on this board and more than half the time was slogging. On first impressions I liked it, felt immediately comfortable and dialed in. Quite smooth and a relaxed stance, planed well. What really surprised is that I could slog (82kg & 4mm full wetsuit)comfortably and get back in an almost off shore breeze. You do have to be a little careful when slogging to avoind burying the nose, given how short it is in front of the mast.
I used a 34cm G Sport Freeride fin and 6.2 Saber, this combination worked well. Couldn't really say how it gybed as the wind was off and on so not enough power to plane through, but initiated the turn nicely. The construction felt lighter and stiffer than the previous year. Would have loved to spend a bit more time on the board
Rode one for an hour so in gusty on-shore nor-wester.Am 70kg, and like the last post, could slog ok.In the decent gusts, very fast and cuts through chop like a knife. Only got one carving planing jibe, and came out faster than going in, without really trying - quite impressive.
Not the fastest board i've ever ridden but still no slog, reasonably good planing and jibes like a freeride board of an extra 15L or so. the short nose also helped keep it in the water and never felt outta control.
