Hi guys,
Picked up a 2010 Naish Boxer 5.4 recently. used it a few times now and really like it although i am sure it will be heaps nicer if i learn to rig it better. just after some tips in terms of downhaul and outhaul settings. one of the things i noticed is that if i use the recommended downhaul setting i need to set the boom a lot wider than the recommended specs.
Check out board seeker on line magazine. They just tested the 2011 4.7m boxer and have some info on rigging. I had boxers the last 4 or 5 seasons and the 2010 was by far the best to date but be careful not to over down haul. Just enough to loosen the leach is enough. I also found the quoted measurements a bit out so give it just enough out haul so it's not touching the boom arms as a starting point.
thanks Twinman. appreciate it
think i've definitely been over down hauling the sail. just need some wind to give it another go.
