A demo kit from WS&S. I'm a starting out foiler so can only compare it to the standard NP Al foil I sail fitted to a 75cm wide Isonic. The extra 5 cm width of the Convertible board and the larger foil certainly get it going sooner. It was light so took a bit of pumping to get going with a 7.8 NCX. The board feels good. Straps are comfy, easy to pump in. Feels similar to the regular Al foil once going, maybe you can sense the larger foil is not quite as slippery?
I'd say both setups are suitable for starting out on. They seem very well sorted. I've just left the rear wing in the neutral setting. Haven't felt the need to experiment with all the wing tuning others talk about. The bigger front wing of the Convertible kit looks like it would bolt straight on the regular Al foil. Are they sold separately? That's the regular Al foil in pink. You can see the relative size of the wings.
